Marie on her 51st Bday 2013

I would like to introduce to you one of my really good friends Marie Florence Mirabeau. She is a 51 year woman who loves the Lord with all of her heart and has dedicated her life to living for him. I hope you enjoy finding out more about her.

1. Tell the readers a little bit about your self? I was Born in Haiti and I came to the US in 1969 at age seven. When we arrived my family moved to Louisiana where I  grew up with a very health conscious stay at home mom that cooked every day.

2. How do you manage to look so young?  It is all about attitude because you are what you think you are and in believing that I have managed to live a stress free life.

3. How long have you been natural? Since 2009 I started transitioning in 2008 and at the end of 2009 I begin to cut two inches off every week. Going natural has made me feel like a renewed and refreshed me.

4. What is your favorite natural hair product right now? Suave conditioner that has almond Shea butter in it.

5. What is your fitness regimen? I Workout at least 3 days a week at golds gym.

6. Who inspires you? Nameless healthy women that age well like Jane Fonda and Ernestine Shepherd. In my 40′s I gained a lot of weight  and I was very depressed. I was an emotional smoker at the time. That was between ages  44-47 it was a very dark time in my life. God gave me the strength to take my life back. I knew I had to call on the name of Jesus. I prayed and was lead to go see my doctor and  she gave me a 6 month anti depression prescription. I started taking it and I felt much better. I dusted my self off because I refused to settle on being out of at shape 47.  I started running again and living a healthy balance life. I did not have to get other prescription  I was back to my normal self.

7.What are your hobbies?  I Love my dogs, ( I have two) crafting, active in my church, dinner with friends and thrift shopping.

Marie says……Woman tend to nurture others more than themselves and she thinks that we need to take more time for our selves.

Thanks Marie for such an honest interview I hope and pray that every woman begins to love and accept herself for who she is and change that part of her that she can….From the Editors Table..
