Tiffiny Fambro Body Transformation

Before

Before

Tiffiny and I met  in 2011 at a natural hair meetup. We volunteered on that event together and have stay connected ever since. I hope you enjoy her transformation story …From the Editors table.

1.Who or what inspired you to start body building?

I decided to start bodybuilding because I was tired of just losing weight and not really having a fit, sculpt body.  I have never been an athlete so I have never felt the joy of having a fit strong body.  I never really even believed that I could get that type of body.  So I finally decided that I wanted to at least try to see if it was possible.  I didn’t just want to be thin I wanted to have some muscle mass and a six-pack.  I read a lot about women getting into shape and all the literature I read discussed the concept of building muscle to reduce fat. So I made the decision to get serious about incorporating weight lifting into my workouts.

2. How often do you workout?

I work out 6 days a week. I lift weights in the morning for 1-1.5 hours and I run in the evenings.

3. Why did you want to get in shape?

Overall I wanted to get in shape so I can be fit when I have children so they can have a healthy role model for a mom.  I want my children to know that they can do anything they want to do in life as long as they have discipline and stay focused.  I also decided to do a bodybuilding figure competition to give me a goal that I can focus on while I train.

4. How often do you run?

I run about 3-4 times a week, usually 3 or 4 mile each time.

5. When are you planning to compete?

My competition is July 20th in Suwannee, GA.

6. Tell the readers how to get started?

I think if a person wants to get started with bodybuilding I think the very first thing he/she needs to do is learn about nutrition and how to start eat clean.  The eating aids in 80% of the body transformation.  It does not matter how hard you work out in the gym, if you don’t eat well, the work outs will not help.  I eat 6 times a day every 2-3 hours.  I always make sure I combine a protein and a carbohydrate or fruit and vegetable at every meal.  I also don’t eat complex carbs after lunch or 12 noon and I count my calories.

7. Do you have a trainer?

Yes I have a trainer he is a former marine, former pro-football player, and a former bodybuilding competitor. So he is no joke in the gym and works me very hard.  I recommend getting a trainer for a person who wants to weight lift and really build muscle.  I have learned so much from working with him.

Dressed Up8. What are your challenges right now?

Well I have lost a lot of weight and gained a good amount of muscle.  However, I still need to lose about 5-7 more pounds for my competition.  The last few pounds are the hardest to lose because my body fat has gotten so low.  So I am going to have to really work hard to push the little fat that I have left off my body.

9. How much weight have you lost?

I have lost 20 pounds

10. What your favorite quote and song that inspires you?

I love the song Faith,13080_4939945614744_1955524813_n Courage and Wisdom by India Arie.  And I love listening to the motivational speaker Les Brown he always talks about his life and how he had to overcome many challenges.  One thing he always says is when he was going through the challenges of life a still small voice would always whisper in his mind, “It’s Possible”.  He says every day we all should look in the mirror and tell ourselves, “It’s Possible”; because anything we really want in life is possible as long as we are willing to work hard in order to achieve our dreams.

Thank you Tiffiny for sharing your journey thus far, I am so very proud of you,you have shown much dedication and hard work and I know you are going to be a success. I will be supporting you as  you move closer to dream please believe it…..From the Editors Table.
